Re: Ryleh Void Gate
The Vastness is by far everyone's favorite. When GoR'ed, it has a strategic move of 10-flying, which for most maps is nearly equivalent to teleportation.

Re: Ryleh Void Gate
a list can be found here :
http://www.maladjustite.com/dom2/SCQRv10.pdf
just additional info trying to be complete ( most of it you will know probably already ):
many people say that the vastness is the best summoning . but you only get a few . in a game i played on orania as ryleh i got 2 until turn 90 or so.
if you are lucky and your void summoner survives long enough after a big enough summoning skill you mostly get greater othernesses which are the second best void summoning and perhaps if very lucky another vastness .
the vastness has 10 strategic movement so gift of reason her and make her a sc which can travel almost everywhere without needing to use a spell like teleport .
don't use mages they get almost always feeble minded . priests instead only very rarely . on a post i read mages 75% per successful summoning and priests only 3% .
if you are very lucky you can cast the gift of health (enchantment5,ritual) and keep it and then when your void summoner becomes feeble minded normally after 1-2 turns he is healed again .
normally you get one successful summoning every 3 or 4 turns . give your summoner 5 bodyguards or you lose him sooner or later on a random void monster attack which is similiar to an assasination

Actually the Void summon I like to GoR the most is the Thing That Should Not Be. Full slots, keeps its life draining attack when equipped with dual shields, and OFC no magic duel liability. With the ad hoc equipment, that's a really mean customer.

I cant get that link to work, by the way; tried removing the Last bit, so that just .../dom2 is up, but I "dont have access". When I click the link as is, I get the error message "cant find acrobat", which is weird since I have the latest adobe set.

it is the summoned creature quick reference by zen .
seems your acrobat has a problem with this but perhaps if you download it from there and load it then into acrobat it works .
the void summons stand on page 17 + 18 then so almost at the end

Re: Ryleh Void Gate
I actually tend to appreciate Greater Othernesses more than Vastnesses; R'lyeh is a bit hard-up for fast, tough, strong melee troops, whereas illithid mindbLasters are not only common but likely to be anticipated. MindbLasting is also not good for killing masses quickly since it targets single units and does damage fairly slowly, while GOs provide a good way for R'lyeh to steamroll right through a horde of pathetic earthlings.
The utility of Vastnesses as SCs is reduced by the complete lack of slot and the Astral-3 that appears if GoR'd, and their relative lack of strongly lethal unresistable attacks compared to, say, a Bane Lord with even a one-handed flaming, armor-piercing sword let alone something purely brutal like a Gate Cleaver.
