Default Medieval music

For those who find the medieval music of the game irresistable there is a chance to see the medieval ensemble that recorded the music for the ame, Falsobordone, as they visit California in December.
Some info:

CONCERT WITH SCANDINAVIAN MEDIEVAL AND TRADITIONAL MUSIC

Swedish Early Music Ensemble Falsobordone

Parish Hall, St Alban's Church
1501 Washington Street, Albany

Friday November 21st, 8.00 PM
Admission: $ 15 / $ 12

The concert Personent hodie Yule music from ancient Scandinavia traces the musical origin of the holiday we have come to know as Christmas. Yule or Jul in modern Swedish is an ancient festival that was celebrated in the Northern countries long before the advent of Christianity. Originally a New Years festival and a celebration of the return of the Sun and daylight (the word Yule originally means wheel, symbolizing the passing of time), the Vikings used to drink Yule, which meant throwing a big party with many toasts to Odin to ensure a prosperous New Year. These old customs lived on long after Oden had been replaced by the Christ and the Blessed Virgin, and in Scandinavia the Church was never successful in renaming the celebration after the new gods own festival (Mass of the Christ Christmas). The music you will hear reflects this ambiguity, being drawn both from the earliest Christian sources, like the programs title song (Today let the voices resound, praising the newborn child) and the music the Nordic peoples have sung, celebrated with and danced to during the Last millennium.

Falsobordone was founded in 1995 and has since become one of Swedens leading medieval music ensembles, appearing on most major medieval festivals and events throughout Sweden and Europe.
The core members are Erik Ask-Upmark (bagpipes, harp, vocals) and Anna Rynefors (fiddle, rebec, bagpipes, percussion, vocals). Falsobordone performs mostly Italian and Spanish music of the 13th and 14th centuries (hence the name Falsobordone is a contemporary music-making technique) but also medieval and traditional music of their home country like in this concert program.
For this occasion the group is reinforced by American musician Michael Gartner (bagpipes, shawm, percussion).

Thanks for the information about who made the music for Dominions 2! I will definitively have a closer group at this ensemble. (Although I am not really going to be able to go to their concert, California being rather away from here)

I notice that the file names for the music tracks in the sound directory have non-consecutive numbers: does this mean there are more songs in the full game that couldn't be included in the demo due to download size restrictions?

Man, I hope they make an East coast appearance!! I almost always ditch the music in a game, but I love that lady's lilting voice. It makes me happy.

Actually I think they have only planned that westcoast appearance as Erik has relatives there....I guess you'll have to find someone willing to arrange a concert in the east for them if you should lure them there

You can purchase a full 14-track, 50-minute CD with more music from this group:

http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/falsobordone

I did so and received the CD within a couple days.
