Dom2 Nations
With the additions of themes will it be possible to have multiple Versions of the same nation in a game, just with a different theme (or the same theme even)?
Also a question about the AI... is there a seperate AI for each nation depending on whom its foes are, or are the AIs pretty much the same regardless of whom is faced? Since the AI is seemingly pretty good I'm guessing that there is at least a bit of the former, especailly when dealing with aquatic nations or those pesky undead...
Will Dom2 have the same settings for AI as Dom1? And what exactly is the effect of those settings?
Man I wish the demo were out already, I'd probably be able to answer alot of these questions myself

Re: Dom2 Nations
I can't answer anything Dom 1-based since I've not played that Version, but I can say for sure that you can't have more than one Version of a nation active per game. Only one Ulm, for example, with or without the Black Priests.
The AI seems too smart not to be adjusting for enemy tactics, but I've not seen "under the hood" to know how it has been programmed, so I can't say for sure.

Re: Dom2 Nations
Ulm has the Iron Faith theme. It gives them a holy unit, the Black Templar. It also replaces the Master Smiths with the Black Priests. These priests have skill 1 in earth plus one random magic skill.

Re: Dom2 Nations
at Last! Ulm with random magical slots! Yesqs. It will be difficult to not have those nice smiths though. The choice will be even harder to make

Re: Dom2 Nations
(Warning - tiny Dominions I map spoiler)
...
I've been playing Ulm against the AI on the "Old Large Land" map in Dominions I, I think using the stock starting positions, and when I fought my way to the east coast of my starting island, I captured a province where there are sages with random knowledge. It's been an extremely fun game. I've been playing it for ages, having been fighting back-and-forth frontier wars for a long long time.
