Finding and Installing mods

Just finished the full stock game on the hardest level, goofed around for a week killing everything, need something new...

I'd like to try some mods, but I'm not too familiar with modding. Can someone point me to some new campaign mods...


Also need a little help on how to install them. Please realize, I'm an idiot who knows just enough to really mess things up.

Try Suicide Junkie's Pirates & Nomads mod - the missions are the same as the regular game, but the ship components are all changed around: armor is much tougher but nearly impossible to fix without docking, weapons are more varied (gatling meson bLasters anyone?), crew quarters provide minor repairs and actually increase the crew capacity of your ship...

You'll need WinRAR (shareware) to extract the archive file (I think you extract it into your Campaigns folder under the main game folder):

Note:
I have had some odd problems with the Last campaign, but being in my Last year of university, I haven't had time to either root it out or rebuild the mod from scratch.

If you find a bug, let me know and I'll patch it up.

PS:
I didn't bother with a ZIP Version of the mod because the RAR Version of all 3 is smaller than a single campaign zipped.

That PDC problem sounds familiar... have you updated to the latest patch (1.15)?

I love the changes. It's a real challenge now.

Just one problem...I'm in the second campaign and occasionally I get an error message:
"Access Violation at address 004F3A5E in module 'Starfury.exe' Read of address 00000018"

It usually occurs on missions and sometimes after a ship explodes.

Also my point defense cannon sometimes fires 180 degrees off target.

Other than that, Ive enjoyed it immensely.

That link you posted no longer seems to be working, and i can't seem to find the pirates and nomads mod for starfury anywhere. I have been able to find the SE4 mod of the same name, but thats not what im looking for...
