BSG problem
First off, I'd like to apologize if this is a repeat...I'm tired...
Ok, the problem: I start up the starfury, start a new game, click the BSG campaign, select my ship, blah blah...hit start or whatever and it has an error, i can't print the entire error because it would likely go over the word limit for this forum. more or less the error says that it can't load anything in the game, ships, components, you name it.
Here's a small sample: Could not find field "Picture Bitmap Index" in record 1.
Could not find field "Placement Locations" in record 1.
Here's another sample from about halfway down: Could not find field "Energy Consump Inc Per Level" in record "Ionic Disperser".
Could not find field "Weapon Beam Duration" in record "Ionic Disperser".
and another from the end: Could not find field "Credit Value Inc Pct Per Level" in record "Cylon Fighter".
Could not find field "Energy Consump Inc Per Level" in record "Cylon Fighter".
EDIT: btw, i've got v1.15

Re: BSG problem
The problem here is the new patch added those data fields that are giving you errors. The mod will have to be updated to include them.

Re: BSG problem
Phoenix is right; the new patch creates havoc with the mod (don't get me wrong, though-- there's a heck of a lot of stuff I like about the new patch. Can't wait to start making my own commodity lists!). However, I'm working on a conVersion and hope to have it up in the next day or so, as well as a patch for folks who already have the mod. So, sit tight-- I'll have it up soon!

Re: BSG problem
If you ever figure out the commodity system, please tell me. Right now all I can figure is it randomly dumps comps marked "Is a commoditity" into the commodity listing and randomly changes the price..no settings for either that I've found.

Re: BSG problem
Ok, I have a patch that should address the problems folks are having with the Battlestar Galactica Mod and the new patch:
Battlestar Galactica Mod Version 1.15 Patch
This also adds sound effects from the show to the game, as well. Please let me know if you have any problems.
Please note that this updates the original BSG mod to work ith Starfury 1.15; if you don't have the mod, you'll have to download it here first. I'll have the full Version updated in the next few days.

Re: BSG problem
I loaded BSG mod and the patch but I keep getting an error with some of the mod files when I try to shuttle over to any planet or station.

Re: BSG problem
Hmm... That's odd. Seems to work for me, and I thought I had included all of the newest files in the patch. Can you be more specific about the problem? What error are you getting (you may have to run the game in windowed mode to get the error listed)?

Re: BSG problem
Ahhh.... Thanks, Acepaint. I found the problem-- there were a few odd entries in the Main_Sites.txt file that were screwed up... I could swear I caught those the first go-around, though . Anyway, the patch has been updated, so grab it and reinstall it and all should be well.
Thanks for the help, guys!
