Re: OT: Your Favorite Book Series
No particular order (and assuming I know what "book series" means):
Gor (must confess I read just about all of them but I skipped the "redundancy")
Just about any series Edgar Rice Burroughs did
Dune (trilogy, I suspect, instead of series)
LOTR (ditto)
"Stranger" (Heinlein - ditto)
Perry Rhodan (I must say about Last on my list)
Battletech (about half of them)
[edit] Oh, I forgot the "Dragon Riders of Pern" series.

Re: OT: Your Favorite Book Series
In no particular order:
Honor Harrington,
Bazhell Banakson,
Drizzt Do'Urden,
Brain Defunct.
No, that Last one isn't a series. It's a statement.

William M Banks' Culture novels.
Caves of Steel/ Naked Sun by Asimov ( I believe these fit into broader continuations, but I haven't read foundations yet)
