Default Research cost

During game set up you adjust the tech cost between low, medium and high. Are the formulas hard coded? If I wanted to make tech cost even higher would I have to edit every file in techarea.txt?

The easiest way to make all research harder and Last longer is to decrease the point production of the research facilities.

Can be done. But first you have to get the rabbit into the barrel. Even this is pretty simple, actually, once you have caught the rabbit.
