Re: Introduce yourself!! :-)
Hi, I'm new here. I'm a long time gamer and tend to prefer complicated (deep) games, but I have to say Dom3 seems way more complicated than I'm used to (a good thing). I spent most of last night with the demo and am now eagerly awaiting delivary of the full version. Expect loads of obscure newbie questions in the near future, but I'll try and find the answers before I post.

Re: Introduce yourself!! :-)
Welcome!
For answers, the FAQ and other stickies would be a good place to start. After reading the manual, of course, all 300 pages of it...

Re: Introduce yourself!! :-)
Hi, my name is P**** and I´m addicted to diet cola and dominions 3.
Oh, and I like scourging provinces to the last man (or whatever they are supposed to be populated by. I make an IC assumption of the population being either mixed, or changing to the invader´s by virtue of immigration and ethnic cleansing, whichever applies better ) and seeing the AI´s armies starve

Re: Introduce yourself!! :-)
Hi !
Another newbie here, from France.
I'm into RPG since... quite a long time (under torture , but only under torture, I'll admit I started...24 years ago !). Does it make me an old newbie or a novice veteran ?
I like fantasy and mythology... and obviously Dom3 !

Re: Introduce yourself!! :-)
Hah!
That means you are OLD!
I remember the older guys who played when I was young. They were definitely OLD! And played strange games in foreign languages, like english. A year later I became old and played strange games in foreign languages (D&D)

Re: Introduce yourself!! :-)
I'm old, but I have all my hair-thin though it may be in places, and none of it is grey. So I am thankful.
I've always been too fat, I've always had joint pain, I've never had enough energy, so these are nothing new to me-and I've learned better ways of coping with them, over those years.
I wear my glasses all the time, and shoes more often, and I'm cold more often. I have to exercise more, for less benefit. Those things might have bothered me, but they don't.
The hair growing from my ears like a malevolent Pangaea Dominion is new, and does bother me a little, because my ears aren't cold, so what is the point?
I seem to lose more than I used to, to fail more, at things I really want to succeed at, than I used to. That's the worst thing.
I might have taken over the world when I was young, but now all I want is to live well, within it. And I find that I can be contented, where before I could not. I can enjoy moments for themselves, rather than always looking to the next three things. It's still rare, but it happens. That's pretty fine.
