Ahh, the seas. We so enjoy the endless seas. Alas, we must suspend our conquering of the seas, since mighty friends now border us on all sides. But still, we have our own sea now, the Sea of Midgard.

Re: The Artifacts Game - [ running ]
A proposal has been floating around IRC and I thought I would bring it up here. Some players, myself included, are interested in calling this game a draw. Its been a really fun game, with some great (balanced!) wars and some astounding political reversals. But its been going on for a long time and there is no clear end in sight for many turns and people are tired. On top of that, we've had major delays due to technical problems with the llamaserver.
So, I present it to you all now: do you want to carry on with this game? Or wrap it up and call it a draw?

Re: The Artifacts Game - [ running ]
Personally, I vote to draw. There are some major powers left now that have a shot at the win, but that win wont come for (in my estimation) at least 30 turns.

Re: The Artifacts Game - [ running ]
I definitely vote to continue. I'm sorry but I am really a big fan of ending games and I really really dislike games ending prematurely w/o proper closure.
And I don't think the game is a draw. Atlantis will soon be eliminated (Sorry Baalz, just calling the facts) and I'm 100% certain that the situation will not remain static. The game may even end much faster than what we can now guess.
We all played a substantial amount of time to get to this point so why stop here and not get to the end?
If any given player wants to quit then we can find him a sub, but I think the players that do want to cont. have the right to see it through.

Of course. I'm not proposing to unilaterally end the game by any means. But I know that I'm not alone in my feelings so I wanted to air it on the forum and get everyone's opinion.

Re: The Artifacts Game - [ running ]
Well, I'm a bit tired of the game, to be sure, but things are finally starting to move now that the research is starting to trump the ****ty map, and I'm not gonna pull out on a game if there's anyone that still wants to play in it unless there's a clear winner.

Re: The Artifacts Game - [ running ]
So, after going back to IRC to get people to post thier support for the vote, I found that said support had quickly evaporated. Forget it, I guess.
I'll start shopping for a replacement.
