Re: Introduce yourself!! :-)
Wow - this is quite a list. Nice to be involved in a game where online games fill quicker than you can join them (got into VampireBat fortunately! Thanks Llamabeast!), and where forum intros are 34 pages!
What a game. Been playing occasionally against the computer since Dom 2, and have loved it. More than anything I love how it draws you in - something I attribute partly to the deep gameplay, but largely to the meandering score and the descriptions that accompany so much.
Me? 31yo Australian, living in CT, USA (near New York). I work in trading so my hours are pretty psycho - which is why a game where I take a turn a day seems heaven sent! To be honest, my generally patience level for turn based strategy is such that after a while I tend to, umm...hurry, through turns. A few turns into VampireBat and I'm enjoying examining everything, knowing that I'll have to wait for the next turn anyway.
Anyhoo - great game, and fun to be part of it. Congrats to the developers and everyone who runs this site.

Re: Introduce yourself!! :-)
Hi,
My name is Greg and I'm 44 years old. I live near Toronto and I think this game looks great although I must read the manual first. I own Dominions 1 but never got Dom 2, don't know why.
Regards,
Grell

Because you're a clever guy
Why spend bucks on a game that will become better in a couple of years.
And now that it is (better) and you know that there will not be a dom4 in the forseeable future, you decided to act!
Welcome

Re: Introduce yourself!! :-)
Hi.
My name is Ylvali. I already been around a few weeks but I thought Id get around to introducing myself. I live in Sweden, which adds a dimension to the game really. 27, lone mother, film director and project leader for various european youth projects.
Not much of a computer gamer, mostly been into role-playing and tabletop wargames before. No time for that anymore, so Dominions MP seems the perfect substitute.
Honestly, this is the first computer game ever to catch my interest more than a week. It is really, really good.

Re: Introduce yourself!! :-)
Welcome. This game really seems to gather people who aren't usually thought as potential gamers.

Re: Introduce yourself!! :-)
Hi Ylvali.
Make sure to introduce dominions to as many youths as possible
I have tried to introduce it to my students, with some success. There is a small gaming society at my school who appreciated the game. Otherwise most of my students have found it 'good-but-not-my-type-of-game' accompanied by a polite nod. There's a WoW-ish generation out there.

I have a serious suspicion that WOW sucks the soul out of young people...

Re: Introduce yourself!! :-)
I can report that I have played WoW for several months and am still in possession of my soul.
I will also report that with the benefit of hindsight I can clearly see that it was a waste of money to play it.
Ah, and I can also report that I am inside the category of "young people".
