Re: How about another SE:V update?
How many of you actually play galciv besides the Demo? AT you have, but most of the others I bet not. Altarian expansion made the first galciv a great game.
Galciv2 will be not like the first game at all. I am beta testing it with the lead programmer, the game is awesome, especially with the new ship designs and battles. SE series is a completely different game IMO, much more depth and complex is the main differences. Galciv has viturally no bugs unlike SEIV, do I make statements about that game? Hell no I love both of them.

For the record, SE 5 is Nothing like Moo3. I know I poked some fun at it, but honestly Aaron is way to dedicated to ever allow anyone to dictate how his games are going to be. SE 5 will not dissapoint and is so much better than MOO3, even in the early stages of beta, that to compare them would be like comparing a Soviet made T32 to an M1A2 Abrams Main Battle Tank.

you do realise I was joking when I said moo3 in my post...
did anyone actually beleive your last post?

I've played the full version of GalCiv, not just the demo. Haven't played the Altarian expansion though. There was only one problem I had with the game. No matter what, the AI always knew where all the habitable planets were, before they even explored the galaxy. That was my biggest problem with GalCiv, since a game shouldn't cheat unless you tell it to, like with the AI bonuses in SEIV. It was really frustrating when you'd be exploring all the surrounding stars, just to find the AI had already colonized most of them which I'd calculated was impossible given their technology level, max number of ships at their disposal, and simple probability.

Re: How about another SE:V update?
I've played GalCiv a bit... not too bad a game, even has some nice features I'd like to see expanded on in SE5... I loved the mutant squirrel capture ball event though, it really reminded me of POKEMON and made me laugh out loud!

Re: How about another SE:V update?
Gal Civ 2 is taking a lot of features from SE 4 and using them. So who knows what game will be better.

Well, we had a nice chat with Aaron... did you know he's planning on releasing not just the SE2 source but the SE3 source as well?
