Re: MA Newbie game - Faltering_Steps - Running
Hmmmmm I might be chasing him... heh.
Yeah Fire storm won you that battle. Of course if all goes according to plan the firestorm wont last too long next time since your Arch Devil should be dead before or shortly after casting it. Assumming he doesnt die before the battle ever starts.

Heh, you really think you can take him out? Well, maybe you can. He has replacements though, you know. A couple of them are coming up from the South now.

Re: MA Newbie game - Faltering_Steps - Running
Haha.. Wow.. That turn had the biggest battle yet. In fact maybe close to the largest battle ive ever seen. I'm going to have to record it and post it or something..
Arco attacked me with almost 800 Troops and 72 Commanders Where as I had about 3 or 4 times the number of troops and half the commanders. Arco lost 44 commanders in that battle to my 14 and more or less all his troops where I lost about half.
Looks like it should be a fun battle to watch though if it doesnt take an hour and a half to watch the whole thing haha.
I might note the sharp drop in Arco's Army size on the graph where mine stayed the same too..
I actually havent watched the entire battle yet, I'm sure its probably a really long one.

Re: MA Newbie game - Faltering_Steps - Running
Heh looks like the O'l Dark Knight got in a little *** kicking too this turn and made it into the hall of fame despite his 50 turn route Got the Iron Will heroic ability which is really nice since he would make a good target for control dead or something but with a super high MR that should be out of the question now.
The only dissapointment this turn was the loss of the battle in Lower Timark but then considering my troops are more expendable than the Skinshifters I'd say I came out ahead there too.
That Battle with Arco was really long.. took over 50 mins to watch the whole thing.. pretty crazy. I think Arco may have ended up actually loosing all 70 something of his commanders... I'm not sure. If they were all inside the fort I'm sieging and they broke siege can they retreat back into the fort when they loose? Otherwise I cut off their only escape route overland. I'm really not entirely sure how that works.

Re: MA Newbie game - Faltering_Steps - Running
Ooo.. I forgot I stormed the fort in question here this turn too.. appearantly they were not able to retreat back into the fort seeing as how there was nothing but a few telastic animations there defending what was left. 72 dead commanders for Arco it looks like this turn.

Hmm. I see you did not manage to kill my Fire Storm casters. Such a shame. They will come back to haunt you. And I have so many
Seriously, Psi. Bring some stuff. Quit picking on the newbie. 1600 unit armies on me? Pah. I can kill them in my sleep.

Re: MA Newbie game - Faltering_Steps - Running
Careful what you wish for... I have been sending a bit more against Arco than I have you but that may change soon. Seeing as how my forces have taken full control of my peninsula that I used to share with Arco they are now poised to attack you from your west flank if you haven't noticed.. I can maintain the status quo with Arco just using the troops reanimated from two forts. Although he has had some success in concentrating on attacking me in the sea, but I think I'm ready to turn that around too.
I cant help but wonder how this whole thing might have gone had I done the lame thing and kept the peace with arco and sent thousands and thousands of troops against you alone every turn and let Arco join in the attack against you as well hahaha... That wouldnt have been nearly as much fun though
And I suppose if you insist on using arrowfend and all that good stuff I'll have to switch to Banefire Xbows and let the AOE cripple your troops with old age.. Which actually might be a better idea overall seeing as how your skinshifters still have a knack for surviving battles thanks to their regen..
Of course you know it's only a short matter of time before I send someone with a good sized army against you casting Army of Gold and Warriors of Muspelheim or Gia's Blessing (which would be better seeing as how you have troops capable of casting Wrathful skies.. which of course means Army of Gold may not be the best idea.
Of course the army will be so large that only a fraction of the entire army gets buffed by the spells, but it should be enough to end your fun with Fire Storm..

Heh. My reply to that long-winded post is, "Nuts".
You cannot beat me Psi. You can only hope to contain me.
This is the best type of game. End game, and three players duking it out. This is what Dom is all about in the end.

Re: MA Newbie game - Faltering_Steps - Running
UGH I hate this game sometimes. I had gatewayed in troops to back up those attacking, but somehow they didn't make it.
Oh well. Live and learn.

You can't gateway an attack...
