Re: Beer game! EA - Signups!
You're absolutely right Omni - and if anyone objects I will close the game at 15. However, I hate to leave players who wanted to play out of the game. So if no one objects, I'll let a grudge and a few last minute people on.

Umm... just fyi - your victory condition is so high as to make it moot.

Re: Beer game! EA - Signups!
I will back out but Thanks thogh.
I am pretty new and really only know a couple of nations and I also do not have Worthy Heroes Mod (does anyone know where I can get it).
I will play a few more nations and play the next one.
I appreciate your keeping it open for me but if you have 15 that is probably big enough.
Thanks agian

Think so, yeah. Its a tricky thing to balance because VPs (especially cap-vps!) are SO hard to capture. If you put the number of VPs too high, you make them moot because in order to get that many the player in question is so powerful that everyone would likely just concede before then anyway. The key is to find the sweet spot where you have just high enough VPs too keep anyone from winning by surprise, but to still keep it low enough that a bold player can pull off a win with a determined attempt (which prevents the game from dragging on forever).
IME, I've found that 40% or so is a good cutoff for VPs. However, I'm not playing in this game so I dont have a say in how you set your game up. I just wanted to point it out.

I'd vote for netwok game. I have never had any problems with llamaserver. It's very consistent and dependable. I'm just lazy and I don't like the few extra steps involved.

Llama server is great! Let's use it. And I totally don't mind having more than 15 players! Omni, you shouldn't leave the game I want to play with you!
