Hmmm... National Heroes... What about tnebrus's awfull description? It says he can summon dispossessed spirits and shadows. BTW, he's as useless as ever. We need our CB heroes mod!

Re: National Heroes
He's quite good with a power wish. Oops.
In other news, the EA Agartha hero is lame. It is approximately the same as... a ten percent random oracle of sub. fires. Thats not as old. Bah.

Earth Blooded?
He has +1 Fire AND +2 Earth (One more then a 10% can get) AND he has +15 HP, +3 Prot, +5 Moral, +10 Magic Resist....
The Oracle he is built off of is a 400 GP monster and he has bonuses to almost every stat. Most importantly he has a 5 Earth in early age. It's all about the Blade Wind baby.

If you are talking about Ashen Empire's Tenebrus (sp?), he does generate shade beasts automatically in the province he is in so the description is somewhat right and he's a priest you can add to your reanimator squadron at 0 death gem cost. Ok, he isn't as good as e.g. Etimmu the Wraith Lord (but then, few are), but he's quite nice as heroes go in Dominions if you get him early on. He could stand boosting to H3, though.

Re: National Heroes
Early R'lyeh Aboleths mindlord hero (I forget his name, but he's the oldest mindlord) is really good. He's got something like a 20 or a 22 research ability, and he's stronger than the average mindlord both physically and magically, and mindlords are pretty sick to begin with. I always prophet him up if I get him really early in the game because you need a magic-leading priest to use your sacred drain life gibodai. If you have a luck scales +3 nation, it's a good strategy to wait 10-12 turns for him to show up and then prophetize him to lead your forces, because he usually will show up early in the game, and it'll stop you cold if you lose your prophet early in the game, so the more powerful the better. You can use the early downtime before he comes to recruit other mind lords for research and mothers for spawn-production. Alternately, he's good for a quick start because you can just prophetize any mindlord and send that one off to attack indeps, and then when this hero shows up, use him to research like crazy. P.S. Heroes showing up seems to be directly related to luck, can anyone confirm this? also, if confirmed, how long should it take for heroes to show up with misfortune scales 3 (luck-3)? forever?
