It took me 3 months or so, but I finally finished S.M. Stirling's Island In the Stream of Time trilogy. A good read, if you're into time lost people and alternate history. Also, if you get a chance, read his T2 trilogy. And the only other book I've read of his was Conquistador. He's becoming one of my favorite authors.

I'm reading windrider's oath.

And I'm going to do a spoiler. Yep.

Bahzell gets into a fight.

The Antita Blake Series
Honor Harrington
March Series (Up country, to the sea, to the stars).

I'm very fond of alot of fanfiction works, as well, though not of the sort posted here.

Spoiler? And I thought you were going to say he used a sword.

Oops--did I just say that?

Yes, you did. Good thing you didn't say he's a main character.

Oops.

Yes, you did. Good thing you didn't say he's a main character. Well, since I've never seen the book or know who the author is, it can't be too much of a spoiler for me.

I'm currently reading the book Armeggedon from the Left Behind series. Haven't picked up the Last book, Glorious Appearance, yet. Probably will sometime this summer. Then the latest SW book in hardcover (can't remember the name right now). Then I'll read the two Dan Brown books, Demons & Angels and The DaVinci Code. After that, I'll just wing it. Got more books to read than time right now.

I suggest starting with 'Oath of Swords'. You can find that and 'The War God's Own' on the baen free library.

I like the 'Myth Adventures' series by Robert Asprin, as well as his Phule's series. I have a ton of Forgotten Realms and DragonLance novels. I also like the 'Star of the Guardian' series by Margaret Weis. An one other series that I have read several times, the 'Guardians of the flame' series by Joel Rosenberg.

I haven't bought any books recently, reading has become too expensive a hobby for me nowadays. ($12 for pocketbooks is outragoius)

So, I read the Posts here in the forums for my literary needs. And it's interactive to boot.

I know what you mean, David. I usually buy paperbacks, but unless you buy them at Wal-Mart or K-Mart, you're talking $8 or so for a new book. I don't like paying $6, but it's cheaper than $8. Lately, I've been checking out this used book store near where I work. I've got most of the Honor Harrington books now, and I'm slowly building up on my Robert Jordan series also. But I've joined the Sci-Fi book club, and sometimes can get a good deal on hardback books I don't want to wait a year or so for certain books, like the Star Wars books. But the postage can kill you sometimes.
