Re: Gluttony - LA Game - Running
I've turned quickhost off, this is so I can submit a proto-turn before a finalized one. In case I get screwed again by the timer I'll at least have a half done turn submitted.
Please don't turn quickhost on! I'll force host if all the turns are in before hosting time (Unless you also submitted half-turns, in which case please post here to not force host).

Re: Gluttony - LA Game - Running
I am hoping to have my laptop connected to wifi tonight.
Currently my power has been off since Tuesday. My house is sub-40 right now and we have had to relocate.
I'll post as soon as I'm able to send in a turn.
(I'm at work now - internet but no Dom3)

Re: Gluttony - LA Game - Running
Caught your message just in time here, as the game's scheduled to host in 15 minutes or so. I delayed it by 24 for now, if you need the full 72 we can probably do that.
Stepping back a bit, I'd also like to take a look at the long view here. It seems unlikely that any one player is going to destroy everyone else in the near future. And aside from that, do we have any real victory conditions? I freely admit that I'm a bit out of my depth at this point in the game, and I don't really know if there's a way things are usually brought to a close.

Re: Gluttony - LA Game - Running
I'll extend by 24 hrs if Mauxe couldn't get turn in by deadline. I'm seeing 13:25 GMT on Sunday February 6th as deadline, if you see otherwise let me know or I might miss extending.
Also looks like Man is at risk of puffing, I'll pm and look for sub if needed.

Re: Gluttony - LA Game - Running
I presume usually there's a clear front runner (and usually beating any last real alliance facing them) that everyone accepts as the victor if there is no will to continue.
In this case that has yet to happen, I'd think of it as the best is yet to come. Aside from Agartha (and well, Ryleh defensively) everyone is sitting tight, I assume if one of the sitters makes a move the pace will really pick up. Of course I'm sure this game dragged on for longer then most of us thought, it would be perfectly good to find a sub if you're tired of it.
I'm finding this game the most educational in endgame tactics by multiples compared to any other game though, maybe it's because I get 10x the action compared to those other games. Things I picked up here is really serving me in other games...

Re: Gluttony - LA Game - Running
I will freely admit that this is deep-end end-game 101 for me.
Definitely a but overwhelming to come into an empire like this as a sub and maintain any type of momentum.
I'm working through it all though and I'm hoping the game continues until the point of Armageddon.
