Are noobs allowed, or would I just get smoked? I've never played MP before, but I'm ready to get started.

Re: Fun House Server - Not Started (Join NOW!)
Actually, not to rain on your game Argitoth, but I would recommend against this game for a true newbie. The settings are *all over the place*. Starting out in MP against experienced players in a normal game would be difficult enough, if doable. Trying to factor in the effects of these changes in addition to that? I don't think you would walk away with a positive MP experience, kruton.
(I would join this game--I like the idea of different styles of games--but with 27 provinces per player, easy research, indies at 9, magic at 75...I see this racing to end-game practically before anyone meets anyone else, which is not the way I like to play. ; )

Oh really? Did you read the first post when I said "Game settings are negotiable?"
Hmmm....

Re: Fun House Server - Not Started (Join NOW!)
I ran a single player test game with these settings. It was interesting. I was using triple-blessed Niefel Jarls, and was able to break out against the indies, but it would probably be very frustrating for people using standard troops. The AI could barely even gain a few provinces early on.

Yeah, I ran through the first 10 turns and it was a bit different. The light infantry + archer provinces were not that bad, but the calvary and barbarian provinces certainly could be. I'm looking forward to this game, but I don't think it will be friendly to people who have not yet perfected the art of killing indies.
