So you want to build a rocket?
I think I've posted this before...
http://www.projectrho.com/rocket/index.html
This site is a good read, and there are many things for modders to consider when making their mods. A very good idea site. Just good luck converting science to modding SEV terms...
The chapters on engines, spacecraft design, advanced spacecraft design, spacewar are all good for modding purposes.

Re: So you want to build a rocket?
Gee no comments...Well here is what I consider the most important thing gleamed from the entire website. This should be studied by anyone creating a mod, I believe that this is really the heart of any 'balanced' mod.

Re: So you want to build a rocket?
I think it's a great find! I'd love to see a "realism" mod.

Fear the squirrel.

Re: So you want to build a rocket?
I'd want to see a mod with lots and lots of 'realistic' technology which takes a long time to research and develop; perhaps even different kinds of technology approaches by other races, allowing for a multitude of strategies and options( ala the races in Starcraft) and giving some real uniqueness to the different races. Obviously it'd be hell to balance, especially with more than just a few races.

Re: So you want to build a rocket?
Well if you look through this website, there are plenty of ideas for 'realistic' space mod ideas...

Don't you think it would be more interesting / realistic that research do not depend on "race", allowing everyone to research everything ? I would suggest that race would allow to have access to some part of the technology tree faster, but not exclusively (like if race is psychic, then cost for psy tech is halved, but other can still try to research the area)
