My brother makes wine. Only one 55 gallon barrel was not enough. He had two going so one could be drunk from while the other was cooking. Then he finally got enough empty JD bottles to hold all from one barrel and he could have them both cooking at once. he was about the only one that drank it though.

Some guys I knew made their own beer, planning to sell it and make money. They ended up drinking it all themselves.

Not sure if other states have similar laws, but in Hawaii, you can make all the beer you want and give away as much as you want too. But to sell any of it requires a liquor license.

I got a coupla friends who do the home-brew thing. One guy's is pretty good. The other one requires me to be polite, smile and say it's good.
