hey! I'm not saying that SEIV is'nt great, I would just like to play the game that started it all... anyway I hope that this does not make all of you think that I only play SEII. I just fondly remember the times I would meet up with my friends and battle for hours on end... ah those were the days

I fondly remember getting my backside handed to me many a time when playing SEII's AI.

I'd pull out SE3 and play it more often if I hadn't lost my registration code

I have never played SEIII. That is other than the demo.

Yeah, the construction queues were much better in SEIII, and the built-in help was really good, too. But a few months ago I went back to play SEIII for fun but I quickly got bored because SEIV is better in many other ways. So I ended up playing SEIV. I have seen the SEII Demo. It has that nice battle scene intro when you start it up, but I haven't played it. Never seen SEI.

The trick is you gotta "choke" the enemies targeting with fodder. They always try to hit the seekers before your ships. I at the early tech level I use the Meson BLaster because of it's range, and load my ships with capital ship missiles or plasma torpedoes, and have other ships with nothing but my longest range weapons, and fire a wave of seekers, hide behind them, and have them snipe off bases. In the early tech the ripper beams are the best point defense.

Yeah. I found SEII a real difficult game. But I loved it, Then I discovered SEIV Gold. I actually find SEII More difficult than SEIV

I never got a chance to play SEIII. Shame as all I hear about it is good things
