Re: Salvo Beta Test
StarTux:
If things go well, there will be a Mac Port but there are no plans for a Linux Version of Salvo, at least not Salvo 1.
Sorry. However beyond the immediate future - anything is possible.
How the heck did you get Age of Sail to run on Linux?

Ran Age of Sail under windows when I used to use Windows.
Will the Mac port, if things go well, be OS X native?
Thanks,
Matt

Matt:
Im not entirely sure what sort of beast the Mac Version will be. I simply have not looked into it, and Iv been out of the Mac loop for long enough to not be sure what qualifies as native in OS X. Grass skirts? I do know that It may require something more than a one button mouse.

You have OS 9, and OS X. OS X is a completely different operating, based on Unix. Some older apps in OS X still have OS 9 type code (classic), also some newer software, which also tries to run in full OS 9 environment has some legacy code in it, but its harder to code from the results I have seen.
Best imho to go fully OS X in that case, Apple are pretty much doing all they can to phase out OS 9...

If you've got a spot open I'm interested in being involved. Frustration is fun and sleep if for the weak!

Sniper-
We have a full house and some of the folks have not showed up yet. However there will probably be some drop outs so if you are still interested Ill contact you in about two weeks. Its also good to have some take a fresh look sort of a sanity check.

Re: Salvo Beta Test
Klvino
Your name is on my list for round 1, so you are probably in but I forgot to let you know. Things got a little crazy there for a bit, I mean, I must have been sending oh, I dont know maybe as many as six emails a day. I was wiped out.
Can you get into the forum at the bottom of the main list? The one called Salvo Beta Test. If so then you are in. My apologies for not letting you know. If not then did you sign the NDA. Ether way send me a note at [email protected] and we will dish this out off line.
Thanks-
Andrew
