If I remember right, chitty-chitty bang bang was repaired from a nearly dead hulk of a car, not purchased ready-made.

Professor Potts had so much crap in his front yard, It looks like he probably had some sort of Meth Lab working.
I don't judge people by the drugs they take, only how many cars they have in their front yard.
