Long turns
I know, I didn't know it could take this long for each turn. Now I can see why people say in the forums that they don't like big maps as much. I mean I'm having fun, but easily 2 hours, because I get distracted, or I think of different things and change all my orders, plus I kind of like the micromgmt sometimes (and other times hate it).
Also, with the holidays coming up these long turns may actually be helpful (if we don't pause over Thanksgiving or Christmas). Or if it ends quickly.
I'll try and finish my turn tonight (Tuesdays are bad for me though).

Re: Long turns
Hate to say guys....but this is a smallish map for the number of players we had.

Re: Long turns
I'd say this smallish map is large enough for me :-)
How many provinces does it have anyway? I wonder how it compares in size to, say, Faerun map.

Re: Long turns
True, for the number of players we started with it was a smallish map. It just keeps getting bigger and bigger the more we eliminate people. Now that we're down to 3, it seems bigger (ie more provinces per player).
And you're right, now I'm wondering if I would enjoy the end game on a Faerun map or not. Talk about taking a few hours per turn. Yikes!

Doh!
Ok, that was the silliest damn battle i have yet been a party to. Why exactly did your army explode? Was that a communion combustion?
Are you guys going to fight this out the bitter end or just call it a draw after you finish me off?

Re: Doh!
Hmm... must have missed that battle, sounds like it would have been interesting to watch.
Yes, we are planning to fight it out to the bitter end... unless Izaqyos wants to concede.

Re: Doh!
@Tyrant, I was experimenting with different buffs for communion. one of them phoenix pyre. In shorter battles it might actually be useful. Certainly for good use of it I need to add reinvigoration spells (relief) and keep them slaves spaced up and far from non fire resistant troops/commanders.
@Shmonk,
I have saved all the game turns. When the game ends you can see this battle. It is an interesting battle that ends with great explosions of communion slaves that wipe out most of my army.
Bitter end, Bitter end, Bitter end...
I think it will be bitter end for me, no sugar please

Re: The end is near
@Tyrant, Thanks for a superb game. Your armies at jotunheim annihilated my forces in droves. Your battlefield strategy exploited very well my mistakes. You had me greeting my teeth in frustration time after time :-)
As I said before, I have kept this games turns. I can possibly upload them when the game's over.
