Bug: please advise: weird bug

I am hosting a game among friends. For some reason, the face image of my allies changes at random each turn. Is this an indication of a serious bug? How to I fix it?

When you don't have the shipset that the other player chose, then SE4 will pick a random replacement set so that you can see *something*.

When you view the empire details (right click) one of the tabs will list the shipset folder name that they used.
Download that shipset, and they will start appearing consistently.
