New version 3.1.0 of Proportions Mod for SEIV available!

It has been a long time scene I have played SE4. This is the most fun I have had in a long time, my *** was handed to me! Thank you PVK for keeping this game alive.

Hi PsiSoldier. This is a mod for the previous game in the series, Space Empires IV.

In SE4, the AI is ok if not great, and the current version of my Proportions mod (that this thread is about) actually interferes a bit with the AI, in that it adds things without telling the AI how to use them correctly. (Nonetheless, a few players have played against the AI anyway and found some challenge despite that.)

In SE5, the version you asked about, I haven't really played it since it first came out, either. There are quite a few mods available, but someone else would be better to ask about how good the AI can get.

There are also quite a few ongoing multiplayer game sessions of both games, as found (and managed) on the http://pbw.spaceempires.net web site.

I've made a version 3.1.2 to correct a mistake I made (not modding satellite miner rates when I reduced ship/base miners in 3.1).

I also added some system names.

It is available for download from SpaceEmpires.net (or will be once it is approved there).

I've made an updated version 3.1.3 of Proportions Mod, which corrects a few problems I found during play, including one important one, which can lead to indestructible wrecked ships, so this version should be used rather than 3.1.0 through 3.1.2.

* Fixed important problem with new Light Basic Life Support when mounted
  on small hull sizes, which would give a zero-structure component which
  would never be damaged, resulting in indestructible wrecked ships.
* Corrected the structure proportion on Light Hardened Life Support. It
  was twice what it should be in comparison to ordinary Hardened Life 
  Support.
* Corrected wrong max tech level for the ancient tech area Neural Computer 
  Interface from 6 to 8.
* Fixed wrong tech requirement for Small Electric Discharge IV.
* Fixed wrong Roman numeral on Small Explosive Torpedo II (showed as I).
* Fixed wrong image for Small ECM I (was looking like an engine).
