vs AI Tournament (SAMPLE BATTLE)
Attached to this post is a test package (includes Campaign Briefing, Mission #1 Briefing and the Mission #1 Save Game files) so that interested players can get an idea of how this thing works. If you have already notified me of your intent to participate, or might be interested in participating please download this package and read through the instructions to see if they are clear enough and then play through the battle. This is basic the format of briefings and files you will get for each "Mission".
The text files can be opened and read in any basic text editor. The WinSPMBT Game files (SpSv017.dat and SpSv017.cmt) are to be saved in your "Saved Games" folder. Start WinSPMBT and load the saved game in slot 017, Select HUMAN DEPLOY (deploy your forces) and play the battle UP TO AND INCLUDING TURN 10. Once completed, and at the beginning of Turn 11, SAVE the Game and send the saved game files back to Double Deuce.
Any questions on the process please post here in this thread.

How'd you prefer the files be sent back to you?

Re: vs AI Tournament (SAMPLE BATTLE)
I'm still a bit confused about how you were planning to count the score. The way I see it, if I save at the start of turn 11 there's no easy way for you to do it. You could manually go through every single unit I have and check the damage done to it and count the V-hexes, sure. That ignores all the damage done to the enemy, though. And if the full campaign is going to be a battalion sized core, that's gonna be an awful lot of manual labour.
Now, here's what I'd suggest:
1) The player saves his game at the very end of the last turn in the battle and sends the saved game back to you
2) All you have to do is load the saved game and end the turn, giving you the endgame screen.

Thanks. I believe that process would work if the players are saving at the end of every turn (before ending their turn) in alternating save game slots so as to not overwrite the previous game turn file.

Now that makes sense once get far enough into the battle save at the end of each turn

Re: vs AI Tournament (SAMPLE BATTLE)
Just finished the sample and got a DRAW.
I won't be a spoiler here, so that's i all can say other than it was a fun battle
I should also add it ends on the 12th turn not the 11th.

Re: vs AI Tournament (SAMPLE BATTLE)
If anyone else does play the sample battle.
Keep in mind it's a campaign within a scenerio and you could keep going on to the next battle,AI takes over of course.
But you do lose the 2 T-62's they don't show up for the next battle you'll have to earn them the hard way .
As bad as i did
I was able to repair all others with 3 rebuild points left, Whew!
Guess i'll play on as practice until D_D gets it hammered out

Re: vs AI Tournament (SAMPLE BATTLE)
Tried running it this morning and got about 6-7 turns into it. I've played more WW2 than MBT, so this has been interesting. I hate Milans already.

Re: vs AI Tournament (SAMPLE BATTLE)
I gave it a go and managed to get a marginal victory, mostly due to extremely heavy use of Z-fire. Holding the set together with a company sized force was somewhat doable, but I'm not sure if I can perform as well with a battalion sized core.
