Re: Russian aircrafts v4
All the info is welcome and the way it is set down is good and makes for easy reading and correcting. I've copied it to my to-do list but things like this..
229 – Su-24M
Rename to Su-24M2
Years - 2007
"Years - 2007" does not tell me if this is an in service or OOS date. If I had to guess I'd guess it's an in service date.
ALSO
537 – Su-24
Rename to Su-24M (for Kh-29 missiles which were used on this version)
Year 1981 (760 regiment of Lipetskiy TsBP)
EW=8 (irradiation alerting system “Bereza” SPO-15M, IRST sensor L082 “Mak-UL”, jamming station APP-50, self defense equipment controlled by separate digital computer “Neon”)
FC=20 (laser-tv aiming system “Caira-23”)
Vision=30
Size=5
538 – Su-24
Rename to Su-24M (for Kh-29 missiles)
Year 1981 (760 regiment of Lipetskiy TsBP)
EW=8 (irradiation alerting system “Bereza” SPO-15M, IRST sensor L082 “Mak-UL”, jamming station APP-50, self defense equipment controlled by separate digital computer “Neon”)
FC=20 (laser-tv aiming system “Caira-23”)
Vision=30
Size=5
Both those units are level bombers. Level bombers do NOT get FC
Quote:
MOBHACK HELP
LEVEL BOMBERS: They do not need to locate a target on the ground to attack, so need no vision. They do not aim at anything, so FC and RF is superfluous.
|
I have noticed that in some OOB's vision/RF/FC has snuck into some bomber units and that's now on the to-do list to clean them out as it does affect unit cost and leads to misunderstandings. The Level Bomber code does not use the vision/RF/FC ratings
Now......... perhaps whoever wrote this wanted these changed to fighter-bomber. If so that needs to made clear AND why those particular bombers should be changed

Re: Russian aircrafts v4
One other point.
From reading through this it would appear that there is some confusion as to what the radio codes actually mean.
Case in point is this
Quote:
184 – Su-25T
FC=20 (automatic aiming complex with tv-observer with operating TsSV)
Armour=20(2) - by experience of Afghanistan war pipelines, draughts of management were strengthened, new anti-fire system was mounted, +new. armored screens.
EW=7 (+ added ir-trapes station, wide-ranged station “Gardeniya” and perhaps “Omul’”)
Radio=91 or 92 (build small quantity, fighting in Chechnya)
|
This is what the radio code means and it's copied directly from MOBHack Help
Quote:
0 is normal chance of picking, 1 is rare (AI will tent to skip over this unit), 2 is common (AI will tend to stick on this unit as it runs through the list upwards).
|
So that last line in the first quote is telling me "Make them very rare or very common " which makes no sense at all. Given the "build small quantity, fighting in Chechnya" info they should be 91 radio code.

Greetings!
Thanks for interests to our work!

Sorry, Kramax had removed part of the phrase. My version looked just like “Year – 2007: at Lypetskiy TsBP (Lipetskiy Training Center) was 6 pcs. Then it’s planned 20 pcs for 2008 - 7 pcs more has been modified from ‘M’ version).
Of course of them are in service from 2007.

Caira system (deployed at Su-24s of ‘M’ modification) was intended to operate from low altitudes (up to approx. 5-6 thousands meters), so these units must work as tactical bombers to use its equipment fully.

Of course, you are right.
There must be ONLY ‘91’, not ’91 or 92’.
Thanks again!
I will pleased if you'll find another mistakes or innacuracies and then we will get more realistic game
