New Campaigns
Anyone working on any new campaigns? I have a couple modern era ones in various states of completion and am thinking about dusting them off and working on them. Just curious to see what others are working on it any.

Re: New Campaigns
Yeah nice camp the drug war.. just HATED to move those civilians around, but guess theyre a pain anyhow in such ops.

I had some plans to do a follow up but that got trashed by other priorities. Still have my notes somewhere I could pull out and review. Maybe I'll add it to my 2008 to do list.

Re: New Campaigns
I dunno how many are going to be interested, but I'm working on 1983 Soviet-Afghan War campaign. It's probably going to be about 15 missions long. Small unit scale, a Soviet 70-man airborne company.

Re: New Campaigns
I'm working on a mini-campaign to go with my revised USMC OOB.
I figure it's a good way to let players see a "real" Marine Expeditionary Unit (basically a heavily reinforced infantry battalion) in action.
And for you tankheads already drooling, sorry guys, the US Marines are basically heavy infantry.
That said, you will get to play with everything from a SEAL platoon to the supply element of unarmed trucks.

New Campaign - Betraying the Bear (Oct 85).
It looks like I'll be able to finish a 6 small scenario campaign using the Poles as the core force. You will command a Naval Recon Company attacking Denmark with the rest of the Warsaw Pact (Oct 1985) with a twist.
I just need to finish up the main briefing text file and pack the scenarios into the Campaign Editor.
It was originally designed using WinSPMBT v3.0 so I will have to recheck the scenarios and the final campaign with v4.0 to make sure there are no issues.

Re: New Campaigns
OK, I have the campaign going through some final checks and then once completed I will release it. Here is the main briefing;
Betraying the Bear
Date: October 1985
Game/Version: WinSPMBT 4.0
Fixed Core Force Campaign
Average Turns: 6-20
Player: Poland
Command Size: Company (-)
Number of Scenarios: 6
INTRODUCTION:
As expected by many the Cold War finally goes hot in 1985. Warsaw Pact forces assault NATO defenses along the length of Central Europe. In an attempt to flank the NATO forces in West Germany and gain access to the North Sea, Pact forces led by Polish Naval Infantry and Soviet Airborne forces invade Denmark.
ADDITIONAL NOTES:
For this campaign you are Col. Banasiak of the Polish 1st Recon Company/7th PPR Naval Infantry Brigade. Your company will lead the assault on NATO's northern flank. Just before dawn on October 3, 1985 you and your men will land and probe the Danish defenses. Once the beachhead has been established your company will lead the rest of the Brigade inland.
