Do people underuse mages?

I'm a MA player and have never given the EA version a lengthy evaluation.

Which mod are you talking about? I've only used the one that eliminates chaff independent units, as far as mods designed to enhance AI performance go.

Often they build more than I do. They may not build them very strategically, but they build plenty.

I've found in many games against the AI I don't build *ANY* castles. I end up taking enough that I don't need to.
