Modify default "Game Setup" options?

Hi,

Is it possible to modify the default options that appear in the "Game Setup" window, the one after we click on "New" to start a new game?

If so, which file are those settings located in? (or is it in the Registry?) I searched around but couldn't find anything that looked like those default new game settings...

No, there isn't any way to change those defaults. That's why I rarely ever play Quick Start games; I don't like most of the default settings.

I wasn't talking of the Quick Game (although maybe you mean that the defaults I was talking about are also used to start a Quick Game?) I'm just getting tired of having to reset all my preferences every time I start a new game from the "Game Setup" window...

I remember SE3 would automatically save the Last settings used to start a game. Why not SE4? It's such a pain to have to click through all those tabs and make sure everything's the way I want it every time! I thought SE4 was completely customizable... I want to be able to change those default settings!

Nope, currently the only default you can set like that is the max ships and max units. You can set those in teh Settings.txt file. The other game settings defaults cannot be changed by any means I am aware of. I agree it would be nice though.
