Suggestion for new wish
"Sanity".
I do not like the fact that insanity cannot be cured by any means. I know about
curse and horror mark, and I can rationalize them. But wishing for sanity
seems appropriate, and should not be that earth shattering. After all, it's
100 astral gems we are talking about.

Re: Suggestion for new wish
Wishing for sanity makes the Dimensional Rod a viable solution, even a no-brainer, when it comes to Wishing. I wouldn't like that. Keep it in the poison cabinet, I'd say.

Re: Suggestion for new wish
Assuming cap, ring, crystal coin:
Empowering to S6 = 90 gems
Dimensional rod in hand slot + wish for sanity = 115 gems.
Obviously a game-breaking exploit....

Re: Suggestion for new wish
No, just 15 gems vs. 90 gems. And I didn't mean this to be any kind of game exploit anyway.
You wouldn't need to wish for sanity for a good dozen or more turns after you use the rod for wishes. The thing is, you wouldn't fear the insanity effect anymore, though, and you'd be faster to use the Rod instead of other means, always sure that you could fix your super mage / pretender. I like that there is stuff in the game that's twisted and dangerous, where you have to sacrifice something if you want to utilize its power.
Why would anybody wish for sanity anyway? Either because of the Rod, or to make LA R'lyeh even stronger. I don't suppose R'lyeh's enemies could use this as some kinda defense against their dominion. Or is there anything else to it?

Why? This is exactly why I am suggesting it. It sucks to go after them
underwater. Yes, LA R'lyeh could use it as well... but them's the breaks.
It would be also cool to have Tartarians with shatered minds heal themselves.
Hell, I would let them wish themselves Pretenders, as well. How could is that?
And arguably to reduce the negatives of Kurgi's gift, although I would not
stick a wisher with it anyway.
