Default Too much ammo for RCL team?

Just doing a setup and noticed that if you go to Austria in 1980, and then into artillery and select the Pzjgr Company each RCL team of 6 men comes with 60 rounds of ammo; 20 HE and 40 AP. Now those boys may be big, but 6 men carrying 10 rounds of 106mm ammo each, plus the tube and tripod? I think a mistake has been made there as even the RCL jeep only carries 5 HE and 15 AP.

Just thought I would bring it up.

Also just noticed if you go into the infantry and select heavy company it too carries 60 rounds.

It's the same number all RR teams have available.

If you look at the number of mortar rounds are provided to mortar teams you might wonder how 8 men could hump 100 81mm Mortar shells and two mortars from place to place as well.

It's one of those little compromises between game play and "realism" that we get beaten up for once in awhile. Yes, we know it's a stretch to think of 6 men carrying 10 rounds of 106mm ammo each, plus the tube and tripod but the number of rounds these units carry were hashed out quite some time ago in playtesting and it was agreed that although we tend to give to much it makes the game more playable ( which sends the "realism" crowd into a tizzy but I'm not thinking of you per se so please, don't take offense )

Ok, understood and no offense taken. But then I do have another question, why does a jeep only have 20 rounds? If anything, switch them around as I know we use to haul a trailer behind our jeeps with the RR mounted for the ammo.

Thanks for the reply.

The Swedish OOB have Pvpj 1110 (90mm weapon similar to the 106) with 5 men and 10 HEAT rounds.

Vehicle mounted 1110 systems have 15 HEAT Rounds("Jeep mounted") and 16 HEAT rounds ("Bv-mounted").

OK, I'll put it on the list to review these numbers in the OOB's. I'm not saying I will or will not change the existing set up but I will look at what we have
