Default Russian T-80

Hi all.

In 1979 it is possible to purchase in Russian OOB tank T-64 and tank T-80. T-80 stabilizer = 3, T-64 stabilizer = 4.
I pay attention of developers to that that T-80 should have stabilizer = 4 since for that moment it was the best tank USSR. Also it would be desirable to pay your attention to very low parameters stabilizer on tanks T-72 - though in any documentation to these tanks - it is written that the gun at them is stabilized in two planes.

Yours faithfully

Great. And did you bother to compare them to other nations tanks at the same time period ??? I doubt it since all your posts concern themselves with gradually increasing all the Russian weapon stats. I have stated more than once on this forum that this next patch will be the last one this year because both Andy and I are taking a nice L O N G vacation from this because personally I'm getting fed up justifying every last detail in this game ESPECIALLY when the call for changes are increasingly driven by nationalism

1980

M60 Patton stabilizer 1
M48A5 Patton stabilizer 0
Chieftain Mk 5 stabilizer 2
Leopard 1A1A1 stabilizer 3

So hows the "T" series tanks for that time period looking now ??

"Also it would be desirable to pay your attention to very low parameters stabilizer on tanks T-72 - though in any documentation to these tanks - it is written that the gun at them is stabilized in two planes."

If you look at the game stabilizer ratings are in a 1-5 range, with 1 apparently standing for a bare bone single axis unit, 2 standing for a bare bone two axis unit and 5 for an high end western unit. Now, I do not know the exact technical parameters of the T-72 stabilizer but as far as I can tell considered the range 3 is a fair value.

As for the T-64 vs the T-80 I would not be so sure. Both were premium tanks and were produced in parallel for a period. I would not rule out that a late version of the
T-64 might have got a better stabilizer than an early version of the T-80. Not very rational maybe but neither was the decision of producing several types of mechanically incompatible tanks whose performances differences were mainly due to components that could have easily fitted to each of them anyway.

I understand that you tired from work above WinSPMBT.
Well, that is that is and on that thanks !

About nationalism:

The matter is that earlier the Russian players at this forum seldom came on a visit.
Now we make up missed.

It is quite natural, that the information on the Russian army is more interesting to us.

Thanks for the done work above " Steel Panthers ", with impatience we wait Patch 3.5 to begin new fights of campaign!

Hi DRG.

I not the nationalist. I humiliate nobody the posts and I try to assist you the information that game looked more plausible, realistic and balanced. I always thought that the true "is born" in dispute.
The theme of Russian to me is closer for quite clear reasons - since I Russian.

Let's return to a theme.
Why you for an example have brought these tanks? In fact it is necessary to examine equal tanks which have appeared approximately during one time:

1980

Leopard 1A4 etc. stabilizer 4
Chieftain Mk 9 stabilizer 4
M60A3 Patton stabilizer 4
etc

All these tanks have appeared approximately in one and too time together with T-80 - 1978-79.

T-80 is continuation T-64. Any updatings and novelties - are created by uniform design office which has created these two remarkable tanks. T-62, T-72, T-90 - create other design office.

As I undestand it, the T-64 was from the Morozov design bureau, while the T-80 was from the design bureau of the Kirov plant in Leningrad, although Shomin and his guys had an hand in it.

BECAUSE they were the first ones I found at random AND they are available in in their respective OOB's in 1979-1980 which was the date YOU picked

Yes.. SO ?? It appears that no matter what is entered into any other nation for any reason if the Russian OOB does not at least match that then there is a demand for a change. Did it ever occur to you that MAYBE these other tanks were judged to have better stabilizers ?? If you look at the entire game as a whole you will find there IS fairness here. You may not like it but it's fair none the less.

I upgraded the early t-62 stabilizes. All the rest stay as is. If you are not happy with that decision then open up the OOB with MOBHack and make changes until all things Russian are to your expected standards

Hi Marcello.

All these tanks were developed all over again by different design offices. In 1963 its updating T-64T with the engine from the helicopter has been created simultaneously with T-64.
There is a set of Russian sources of information in which is written, that certainly T-64 strongly differs from T-80 - but T-80 has been created on the basis of tank T-64.
Here small translation from foreign journal "International Defense Review" #6 1987 year.
"Serially made from the beginning of 80th years tank T-80 is the further development of tank T-64..."
Certainly the Russian tanks have all among themselves much in common - but are allocated among other two schools of a tank-building. Last years tanks T-80 were issued on the Omsk factory and in Kharkov, and tanks T-72, T-90 - on a factory in Nizhni Tagil.

Yours faithfully
