SEV Resource Management, Possible Bug?
I have a question on resource management in SEV. The empire screen shows that I have Net 48.6K min, 3.8K farm, 3.6K rad. Despite this I can not build any weapon platforms on one of my planets. The planet in question has a space port and a resupply facility. The start of turn message says the construction queue could not continue due to lack of resources. This is only an issue with the weapon platform as I can build all the facilities I have room for. No space yard on this planet yet so no feedback on ability to build ships. The is only one small WP in cargo, so there is plenty of room.
Also the empire screen shows 50K min, 0 farm, 0 rad in storage with a max storage of 50K each. Why is the unused net listed above not going into storage?
Any hints would be appreciated

I suspect there is some sort of problem but I haven't been able to pin it down yet - most of the time it seems ok but then every so often something gets messed up.

Thanks Kwok, any tips to get out of this other than a restart? I can't build WPs at any planets, ships work fine though.

Re: SEV Resource Management, Possible Bug?
Check to see if that planet has any population. This has happened to me ... OFTEN ... then planet has, then loses the population, and the error message you get is no resources availible.
This disappearing population may be a bug, or a feature, I'm not sure yet. These are non-breatheables, with hostile environments, whose resources I sorely need. The emigration level is 5%, birth rate is 15%, so the colony SHOULD endure, but doesn't. I will have to watch thse planets more carefully.

Use a cheat to fill up your resources again.
Type ~ and then MONEY and hit ~ again.

Re: SEV Resource Management, Possible Bug?
Be careful a known bug with colonizers can strip all the population from a planet (not leave 1M behind as in SE:IV). Other than that only a plague or intel event could be reducing the population.
