I agree Narf, but I honestly couldn't think of anything to make the Medium and Large Transports unique. Do you have any suggestions? If you do I'd be quite happy to hear them. 
EDIT: Think I'll move the guns on the fighter too, they just look too odd where they are.

Different 'cargo' pods? Basically, the same way you would make a warship look different.

Hmmm...right now I have no imagination, but later on tonight I'll think about it, and probably come up with some way of making them each look unique. Thank you very much for constructive criticism! I need lots of it!

This is one very cool shipset. Apart from looking real dangerous, they have a quite organic feel. Almost as if their ships are made of coral. They also look dam threatening.

Whew! Just spent the last 4 hours working on the rest of the "main" ships, Escort through to dreadnought. Many have been revised, the old dreadnought pic from about 20 posts ago has been turned into a large carrier, with a new and improved dreadnought taking it's place. Here's a pic with all ships, escort-dread at 128x128, the portrait size they appear in-game:

Narf, I would also like them to be more distinctive, but for the time being I'm satisfied with them as they are. Distictiveness is certainly a goal, but I think they're OK as is...until I decide I don't like them and revise them
