I need the MP FAQ and a challenge
Hi Guys,
i play Dom 2 for a year now - but only in SP and sometimes in Hotseat(LAN was not possible, because of the keys -anyway)
Now i would like to test my skills in MP, but i really really dont know how it works, yesterday i made a account on mosehansen and the-battlefield but i still found no game.
Would someone of you who is interrested start a new game, maybe something not too exotic and help me connecting to it.
I have sometimes the feeling i am the only Dom2 Fan in Germany

Re: I need the MP FAQ and a challenge
Hello,
Mosehansen was a rather big server, but creating games there is now quite difficult, if not impossible. I don't know anything about the Battlefield. There are two main ways of playing a game:
- Via TCP/IP, where you connect to a sever and play the game directly. Some TCP/IP games are also played in Blitz, where many turns are played in the course of an evening; one such game usually starts on Sundays on the #dominions channel.
- Via PBEM, where turns are sent to you in a mail, and you send your turn file in another mail. That reminds me I should really finish my little game listing and guide to play MP.
I don't think there is any game being started at the moment, but most of them will be announced on this forum, so you should keep on checking for new threads. I may actually start another game myself, though it would probably be a Pairs game. If you are interested, there are a few nations looking for another player in the Yarnspinners game (link in my signature for the game thread): Vanheim would be an especially good choice for this game.
There are actually quite a few German Dominion fans: I will not give names because I would overlook many of them, but you should see them in the regular Dominions 2 forum.

Ha, I live in Alaska; I would say there is a very good chance I own the only copy of dominions within a 500 mile radius

Re: I need the MP FAQ and a challenge
i really should get the full. The demo can play MP, but not with the full Version players.

You're not. The problem is that the Blitz-games on the IRC channel are usually hosted for US timezone players, so either take monday off and play a blitz, or look for hosted games on Mosehansen.
Maybe we should start a "Blitz for EU players" thread. (I'd be happy to offer my server for these games.)

Re: I need the MP FAQ and a challenge
Griffin participate in our next newbie slugfest . It will start in about 3-4 weeks i guess .
I am a german Dominionsplayer as well .
An european only Dominionsgame should be easy and probably even a german only game could be arranged
