Twice Born - question / bug?

Does Twice Born resurrect the mage in the capital, or the current province?

I tried putting an aquatic death mage on land after casting Twice Born (only because I couldn't get him (octopus god) to die otherwise). Took off the amulet of the fish, and he drowns on land. Doesn't come back via Twice Born.

But - I still can't Call God that turn, even though he's dead.

The next turn, Call God is active, so I start calling God.

Two turns later - Squid the Wight Mage drowns in R'lyeh.

So - I guess Twice Born brings them back in the capital? If it happened in the province they were in, he should've showed up the next turn, resurrected.

I'm guessing he died, couldn't be spawned in the capital because he could no longer breath water, and that's why he couldn't be recalled the first turn.

On the other paw - if Twice Born brings 'em back in their current province, then it's a bug, si?

Capital. And it brings you back as a Wight Mage, which isn't inherently amphibious; since you lose gear during the process, some water magic would be a good idea.

And yeah, change your pretender's form this way and it's permanent -- for better or for worse.

Heh. Nifty - you can permanently kill your pretender this way, even though the game goes on and you can continue recalling the deity.
