Re: Arcoscophile
I had a few more tips for the newer arcoscophile players out there. Point form today, kinda short on time.
1) Don't forget to use independants. Indy knights are some of the best platoon units to use with elephants. Their 16 morale is the same as hypaspists, and at 20 movement, they are even faster than the elephants. Later in the game try a 2-1 ratio squad of knight to elephant. The lance charge followed by the trample effect is devastating to enemy morale. Additionally, the knights will absorb any opposing cavalry charge.
2) Massed hoplites are usually better as a front wall than an elephant brigade against opposing pretenders. A group of 40 or more hoplites, broken into Groups of 20 will usually hold the front lines against national troops. Remember to cover your flanks, either with elephant/knight brigades or more hoplites. If you have a decent blessing (such as W4 E4 or F4 W4), heart companions are even better.

Re: Arcoscophile
Strange. The board just randomly posted two copies of my incomplete message. I guess I'll continue here.
3) Give your 4S Astrologers a crown of command. This allows them to gateway up to 45 troops from any lab to INSIDE a sieged castle. This can be a nasty surprise for opponents who storm a weak castle, only to find an army (or two) waiting for them inside.
4) When using elephants, place your commanders at the top or bottom of the screen. Even with morale tricks, they will still rout sometimes. Mages are expensive. This costs you nothing. Placing hoplites in front of them on "attack cavalry" will stop any flanking before it starts.
More to come as I remember things.

As for checking identical contents, that'll be less effective and more work I think.

strcmp() is not really "more work", and is highly effective: I've used it myself to prevent double-lines: If the user Posts the exact same thing twice in a row, as indicated very trivially by strcmp'ing the Posts, it must be a multipost. This isn't hard, this is trivially simple.

It's certainly not trivially simple if the scripting language involved doesn't support said function.
