Hardest possible AI settings?
What do you all consider to be the absolute toughest settings against the AI? I want to be squished like a bug
I want the big map (Orania), so....number of AIs? All on Impossible, I guess. Indie strength? Anything else recommended to make it hard?

More AI's arent as hard as few AI's. Try 3. Ermor, Rlyeh, and one other. Maybe Arcos.
Take the Orania Wars map. It gives everyone extra starting provinces.
You can edit the .map file to make all the AI ally with each other (not attack each other)
You can also add extra troops, population, magic items etc to the AIs if you really get into editing a .map file. Its just text. fun to play with
Another thing you can try is doing Host a bunch of times. It will warn you but it will let you force the hosting. This wouild give the AIs a bunch of free turns to get ahead of you.
OR for the first 20 turns or so you could hit the host button twice each time giving them 2 turns for each 1 of yours.
You could voluntarily kill your god and starting units in the first round by suiciding them against nearby provinces.
Something else you can do with a .map editing is you can remove your bonuses. Lower your population, remove your starting sites and the units they give you.
For my games I like to scatter random commanders with bodyguards, units, equipment all over the map. It makes it a VERY different game but it kicks AI's tail as well as yours. If you want to try one of those I only have 1 for Dom2. Its uses the eye map and is called "a Poke in the Eye". You can get it here......

I might do more like this later on.

Re: Hardest possible AI settings?
I find very crowded maps are hardest. Play a land race, of course, and play with all AI's, half on difficult, half on impossible. Go indy strength 5-7, and possibly rich world? That should be suitably impossible, though with a perfect SC god, and some luck (no burden of time, curse, diseases, decay, smite, blindness, or any other commander killers) you might survive=)

You will have no chance against allied AIs.
