Two and a half years following the Sithrak Incident, a joint Terran-Abbidonian investigative team was commissioned. In an effort to improve the performance and capabilities of their allied forces, this team was given the task of analyzing the history, behaviour and any other possibly relevent aspects of the single individual responsible for the saving of the quadrant and approximately 23,112,320 non-terrestrial casualties (1).

Two weeks into the investigation they discovered the pilot's ship, a modified Fazrah Cruiser III, abandoned in orbit around one of Jujulak's suns.

Three hours later, the Terran-Abbidian coalition was forced to commission a new task force, when Fred Gates XXVII, the teenaged MSCE graduate who was the team's technical consultant, failed to fully understand the modifications made to the expanded Anti-Proton Beams mounted on the ships heavy mounts and inadvertently discovered a cheap method of FTL propulsion which became the mainstay of the Coalition's expansion efforts.

(1) Figure does not include the final death toll of 157,600 on Yorkshire III when the Ses'thene impacted on the planet's surface. Subsequent investigations have attributed this now-acceptable disaster to the individual under current investigation, as he had eliminated 99% of the Ses'thene's crew with Toxic Injectors six hours previously.
