Default Multiplayer, anyone?

One of the things about SE4 that has me excited is the prospect of Simultaneous-turn multiplay. I'm surprised that nobody has attempted to start a game yet. If no one does, I will start a game as soon as the first patch is out. If anyone is interested, that is. Well?

Let me know if there are any games going on that I am unaware of.

Dweeb,

Wait for the patch currently there is some funky stuff happening when you use that option. But it is a great option! You wait a day or 2 for your next turn rather than a week if playing with more than 3 people!

Yea, I am waiting for the patch. And as a longtime player of VGA Planets, I won't really consider a multiplayer game that's NOT simul-turn, for the reason you mentioned.

Anyway, I have been playing exclusively using the simultaneous mechanic as "practice". Also because it seems to me like the "right" way to play. What funky stuff is happening? (Maybe I don't know how stuff is supposed to work?)

I just thought I'd start guaging interest now.

Hi people,

a friend of mine's and my game should arrive any day now. We are both interested to join a multiplayer game, but prefer simultaneous turns exclusively.

(Well, actually the lack of those was the reason we both did not get much multiplayer mileage out of SE3 when we tried that some time back...)

Waiting for the patch seems pretty sensible to me, so hopefully it will be out soon.
