Help Required
Hey, guys. So I'm working on an Aliens Vs Predator mod. I was planning to take it very slowly, since this is my first mod, but already I've run into trouble (and I've not even got into it yet).
All I've done so far is play with weapon components, and their corresponding techs (I was planning on having everything very race-specific, but I haven't even set them to a race yet and already it's messing up). I've done three weapon Groups, each consisting of ten technology levels.
So anyway, I get to testing to see if it's worked. There isn't an error message when I start the mod, so I go ahead. Right clicking on one of the technologies I want to research (which happens to be mass drivers), it says "Expected Results, Components, Railgun I". However, the other two have nothing there. Actually researching the technologies doesn't yield the components either.
I've stared at the code, and can't find anything missing that should be there. Both components have the technology spelled correctly, and require only level 1 in the tech. Just like the railguns. Only they don't show up.
Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

Re: Help Required
Is there only one line between these two components and all the others in the components.txt file? A jump of two lines or more tells the game the file has ended if memory serves, or something along these lines causing a lot of problems.
If it isn't the problem, you should post the lines for these components and their tech areas, but since it worked for another component, there should be no problem here.

Alneyan, that was amazing. Yeah, I had a double-line shoved in there. Thanks a lot.

Re: Help Required
When I started working on Invasion! Fyron warned me about making sure there wern't any double blank lines but I didn't listen and spent multiple hours trying to figure out what was wrong before I realized what I had done.

Re: Help Required
Lol, CW when I was making the mod for PBC II i ended up trying to figure out why the specialist house facilities weren't replacing the spaceports on the planets on full tech (so i'd know they were working.) I started it up with our race file and Spent the next few hours trying to figure out why there was no spaceport on our homeworlds...
I hadn't messed up the file, We'd taken the natural merchants racial trait.....
