Re: Victory options
victory, for me, comes when i know how i can win and that i can win. after that, it gets boring. bad habit of mine.

Re: Victory options
I have the same habit. I don't use the victory conditions but if it gets to the point where I'm so far ahead of the other empires that I know I'm going to win, it gets boring and I start a new game. Or sometimes I just start a new game anyway just because I feel like using a different racial tech or whatever. Or if I don't play for a few days, I don't feel like continuing where I left off so I start a new game. I've only actually finiahed a few games ever.

Re: Victory options
To be honest I have never used victory conditions. In fact I don't understand a need for them.

I'm in the same Category. I never use victory conditions. Maybe if there more variety, I would chose one. But of the ones there are, I don't see any I like. like the saying goes, Give me victory or give me death!!

Re: Victory options
I always use the peace victory condition, but I'm always done before the game is over.
I like to start small, and fight the good fight for survival. Once I've overcome the really bad odds and am holding my own without too much trouble, its pretty much over.

Re: Victory options
I like to try a different victory condition with each new game, partly to see how long the games go.
My Last solo game was Last Man Standing, and I finished with 2.2M points, so my current solo game is set to end at 2M points.
