Revised UFP shipset

Hi all

I have re-worked my UFP shipset for those of us that like the Star Trek theme. I changed several class types to better stay with the Star Trek theme. I also downloaded actual nebula and other stellar phots from NASA, cropped them and used them as backgrounds. I then tweaked the ship pictures to make them blend with the backgrounds. I have a couple here to show. I still can't find any Trekkie type mines or weapons platforms..had to borrow those from another set. If anyone can make these let me know..POV-RAY is killing me.

I also cleaned up all the mini's so the background doesn't show through on nebulas. I added a emp file, a ship class list for the dsnname file and a system names file.

As for the AI, it still uses a slightly modified Terran set, my next project is to re-work them and include a Federation racial trait with new facilities and components.

did'nt they show the mines the Defiant set to block the wormhole in DS9 during the dominion war era?..not sure...been a while.

maybe for a weapons platform you could use the telescope array from TNG or Voyager..the ones with Barclay in them ...then again they might need spicing up.
