Bug : no "path lines".
On an new install (with w2k), when I choose a destination for a ship, the path line is not shown (very, very annoying...). Any solution ?

I'll have to test that, thanks. If it's true, I wonder why this F%#$*in' setting has been chosen by default...

It is common to suggest turning off this function if SE4 runs slowly on a computer, for whatever reason. So I may have been turned off in the latest patch.
I know I would never want to be without this function myself, but to each his own.
In pre-Win XP days, I left the CD in my CD/DVD drive. I kinda liked the atmospheric music. But now, XP causes the game to poll both my DVD player and the cheap CD-Burner I bought for backups, and the slow spinup time pauses the game -- drives me insane.

Re: Bug : no "path lines".
The "show warp lines" option affect the links between the systems in the galaxy display, not the ship direction in the system screen ! so my pb remains...

??? Game options (F1) - show ship line movements. turn it on.

??? Game options (F1) - show ship line movements. turn it on. That is the correct name for this setting, I'm away from the computer that has SE4 loaded.
Also, you must select that ship to see it's lines.
On simultaneous turns, some commands will never show the ship movement lines -- for example, "seek after and attack ..." never shows the lines because the enemy ship will move. The enemy planet never does in SE4, but still no movement lines, anyway.

He he.
I had this exact problem when I set up my new computer. I had forgotten that movement lines were under options and not empire options!
