Question about choosing Air Cav...

I wanted try something "special" into my next 1968 Vietnam battle (I mean in Battle Generator). I had vision about this kind of situation: I play as VC (defending some hills). I wanted to choose Air Cav units for US (attacking). Well I was quite amazed as I noticed that there was not any Air Cav unit with copters in US Infantry picklist

... Only foot Air Cav units. If I'm in US side as attacker, I can choose them with copters too. I noticed this afterwards.

Hmm is this some kind of bug or made by purpose perhaps?
