Early Game Defiler of Dreams

In an SP game I'm playing, I got on turn 7 the event that means you have the Defiler of Dreams hiding in a specific province. This guy is pretty freakin' nasty (http://dom3.servegame.com/wiki/Defiler_of_Dreams), a stealth of +40 and has an unrest stat of 200. Given the insane unrest and stealth bonus, is it even possible to destealth the creature (playing as EA T'ien Ch'i so no special flying or patrol bonus troops)? And once I do find it, how can I kill it?

My current thought is to recruit a LOT of my cheapest troops (pikeman) and have them patrolling while 2-3 mages behind them set to cast Lightning bolt over and over. None of my units are horror marked so I'm assuming it'll just fly up and start attacking my fodder instead of my casters. It doesn't have shock resistance and it only has 20hp but it does have two nasty drain life attacks so I'm worried it will recuperate the damage I deal to it.

Any insight from the forum veterans?
