I could already try doing a 3d book animation like that. I don't think I would be able to make it look quite as good, but I don't think it's that difficult. It could be that the "looks good" part is the one most difficult to learn, though...

It can be hard to say what is and isn't difficult, though. The effects are especially hard to judge. 3D models don't do themselves, but effects can be deceptively easy. We learned to fire hundreds of arrows (affected by wind and gravity, to make them stick to whatever they hit, and do that little twitching afterwards) - in two hours.

Just because you'd like to see better trailers doesn't mean you should leave your own trailer measle. The higher standard you set for others, the better stuff others will try to make.
