ot: another plane down in NY

You know, the "evil doers" in the world don't give a great God Darn about what we do or don't do for security. What they want is for us, the people of america, to panic, and turn on one another.

We are doing exactly what they want us too do. They say BOOO, and we jump. Lately, we have been jumping higher and higher. Everthing from a rat fart to a plane crash is now a TERRORIS ATTACK (news at 5) event.

I don't mean to sound insincere, and my god be with those people who died as well as there families, but I truly doubt that "that" plane went down because of a TERRORIST. Oh sure, they will try and claim credit for it, what good low life sewage sucking terrorist wouldn't?

To be perfectly frank, I do not fear the Terrorist, I fear what we are doing because of them. Remember how Hitler gained control of Germany? He faked a terrorist attack. I sincerely doubt that President Bush is doing that, but he did form Home Land security, and that reminded me of Babylon 5's Night Watch. Night Watch was based in part on the SS of Nazi Germany. Be afraid, be very afraid that one day, someone will take advantage of our fear, and the laws and agencies that we have enacted to protect us to eventually and utterly control us.

I favor greater alterness, and even federalizing the security at airports. I love the idea of Air Marshals armed with stun guns, and locking doors to the cockpit.

I would go further in demanding that all Air Line Crews be trained in self defense, and crsis managment. They do a damn fine job of it already, but give them more tools to use. Teach them how to disarm someone, or talk down a dumb *** who wants to "jump out" of the airplane.

Federalize the maintenance of planes. IE, have a few federal maintenace specialist at each national airport, that do nothing else but inspect planes with the Airlines maintenance crews. Remember Alaska Airlines and the crap they pulled? I will bet a dollar that is exactly what happned here. Someone inspected that plane, and left a wrench in the engine, and it caused the crash. (David and Galoth) Sometimes, the smallest thing can have the largest impact.

As for big brother, too late, he is already here. Next time you stop at a LIGHT, look up. Surprise, your on Candid Camera. If not yet, you soon will be.

Right now is not the time to freak out, now is the time to strengthen our resolve, and improve our security through rashional efforts, and not "OMG hit the panic button do everything at once as fast as you can get it done" atypical government style.

Plan the work, and work the plan. One hurtle at a time people. Do it right, and it once, and move on to the next step. This shot gun bLast effort to get it all done in as fast a time as possible will lead to more holes in the pipes than already exisist.

What happned 9-11-2001 was horrible beyond imagination, and it could have been prevent, but was not. Thank god they did not have the resources to do more damage and kill more inocent people than they did, for they would have. Now, they won't get a second chance. Well let us hope and pray at least.

Right now, my heart goes out to the families who lost someone in this most recent airlines tragidy, and I hope and pray that God will help them through this horrible time. What is needed is compassion, not rumors, as for books, do you think a copy of the Koron (sp) would get me arrested if I tried to board a flight?
