Drug War - 2005 Playtesters needed!
I need 2 playtesters for a new Campaign I am finishing up. This may be the last for a little while so I can concentrate on other things. Anyway, here the general campaign background;
Quote:
MEXICAN DRUG WAR - 2005!
US vs DRUG CARTEL
September 2005
Game Version: WinSPMBT 1.0
Format: Fixed Core Campaign
Turns: 7 - 25
Player: United States Army
Command Size: Platoon
Length: 7 Scenario's (maximum)
INTRODUCTION:
Years of corruption in the Mexican Government has allowed the Drug Cartel activities to flourish unabated. Now, the citizens of Mexico have had enough. The ineffective President Fox is overthrown in a bloodless coup and a new President has been willed by the people. The majority of the law abiding, incorruptible government officials step in to throw their support behind this new president, urging him to take immediate action by protecting the people of Mexico against this threat from within.
In an unexpected and extremely controversial move, the new Mexican President appeals to the US for military assistance. The US President, with most of the regular US Forces tied down in the 'War on Terror' declines. In highly secretive, emergency sessions the Governors of Texas and Arizona seize the opportunity to secure the US-Mexican border, by working together, unified in the defense of the interests of their citizens.
On September 1st, 2005 in coordination with Mexican authorities, National Guard units of Arizona and Texas cross the US-Mexico border. Their lead elements moving forward in support of Mexican Army actions against the Drug Cartel.
For this campaign you are Lt. Jones, 1st Platoon Leader from A Company, 2nd Battalion, 142 Infantry Regiment, 36th Infantry Division (Texas National Guard).
